The 4 A's: A Practice of Node Clarity

4 A's alignment practice Node clarity
In Inner Alignment, I introduced the 4 A's as a practical pathway: Awareness, Alignment, Action, and Amazement. In Undercurrents, these same stages take on a luminous new significance.
Awareness is the act of noticing the grime — recognising where the body has gone numb, where the mind is running unchecked, where the soul's voice has been drowned out.
Alignment is the act of cleaning the windows — bringing thoughts, words, deeds, and feelings into congruence under the soul's leadership.
Action is what happens when light begins to pour through the cleaned glass — purposeful, love-directed, service-oriented movement in the world.
And Amazement is the lived experience of a Node operating at high clarity — the synchronicities, the flow, the sense of being carried by something larger than yourself.
Think of each of us as having three windows: body, mind, and soul. Each can become grimy through neglect, conditioning, or misalignment.
The body's window becomes grimy through the numbing of sensation. The mind's through unexamined conditioning. The soul's through the accumulated weight of living in ways that contradict its knowing.
Joy keeps the body's window bright. Grace keeps the mind's window clear. And Gratitude keeps the soul's window luminous.
These are not self-improvement techniques. They are conscious acts of clearing — acts of remembrance. Each time you choose the soul's whisper over the mind's shout, you thin the clouds by one layer. Each time you meet another person with love rather than fear, you polish the stained-glass windows of the Node and let a little more light into the cathedral.
